G-8 is always #4 or #5 on a list of pulp heroes in various retro articles, meaning he's sort of second tier. Books are light on character, heavy on WWI dog fight descriptions and far out plots and villains and have no time to be boring/5.

Mel Torme, the singer, is head of a club, as you likely know, who hold a kind of worship for World War I fliers and planes and who make a thing of collecting G-8 and his Battle Aces magazines.

This article referred to G-8 as a fast returning popular character. I phoned. Overall, I recommend the collection, it's one of the better pulps I've read, and you can't go wrong with WWI flying tales.

Hogan. From the September, issue of G-8 and His Battle Aces. "I'm going blind I can't see!" From all along the Yank front those reports came in—pitiful reports from troops sent up to stage a victory drive—troops that now fought on—grimly, hopelessly.

G-8 and His Battle Aces #24 book. Read reviews from world’s largest community for readers. I'm going blind I can't see. From all along the Yank f 4/5. G-8 and his Battle Aces rode the nostalgia boom 10 years after World War I ended. These high-flying exploits were tall tales of a World War that might have been, featuring monster bats, German zombies, wolf-men, harpies, Martians, and even tentacled floating monsters.

Being carried away by the adventures of G-8 and his pals, Nippy and Bull, as they patrol the skies over WWI France is preferable to a somewhat dry history of the First Vatican Council.

YMMV. While I am learning from the history of Vatican I, I much more enjoy the history I learn from these reprints of G-8 and his Battle Aces when I'm smoking a.Volume 25 - 1st printing. Collects the entire story from G-8 and His Battle Aces originally published in October "Claws of the Sky Monster": "To the driver of the Geier who kills G-8, I will personally give one hundred thousand marks." Deep in Germany Herr Doktor Krueger made this offer, and now G-8 was taking off into war skies.
